The
trail is relatively flat through fields, bush, forest and along gravel roads.
Shoes are recommended, but not required. Water provided about every 5 miles and
there are several check points. All vetting is at base camp.
Chili
lunch will be provided from 10:30 am until the pot is empty!
Ride
& Tie awards will be given out shortly after the last team has completed.
Mileage Certificates will be available for pickup at the registration
"desk" 1/2 hour after rider's completion.
Pricing
Registrations postmarked by April 23rd receive the Early Bird rate!
There will be a limit of 50 horses for the day accepted.

Directions:
From HWY 43, turn north on MacMillan Road
(first gravel road east of Finch or second gravel road west of Avonmore that
heads north off the highway). Cross Concession 3-4 Road (this is the road that
base camp was on in previous years) and carry on north. At Concession 5-6 Road, dogleg
right then left to carry on north on MacMillan Road. Doug's place is at the top of the hill on the right hand side.
If you are coming from Ottawa, turn left (east) in Berwick onto County Rd 9 (Brenda's gas station is at the
corner) Continue East to the first road south - this is MacMillan Road - and turn right. Doug's place is at the top of the hill on the left hand side.
From the 401
westbound (Quebec
folks) exit at Hwy 138 (exit 789)
Turn right (north) onto Brookdale & proceed to stop. Turn right (east) and
then left at the lights to continue on 138 north toward St. Andrews West.
Continue north to Hwy 43 at Monkland (about 10 minutes from 401). There
are lights and a Tim Horton's and a gas station on the corner. Turn left (west)
onto Hwy 43 toward Avonmore, Finch, Chesterville, etc. Drive on Hwy 43 past
Avonmore (about 10 minutes or so from Hwy 138) Turn right on the second gravel
road north from Hwy 43 (first gravel road is Finch-Roxborough Boundary Road) -
this is MacMillan Road (about 5 minutes past Avonmore).
Proceed north on MacMillan as per directions above.
401 Eastbound
(from Kingston), exit at Dickenson (Ingleside) and turn North, follow thru
Osnabruk Centre to Stop sign, turn left and go to Finch. Do a left/right in the
village and go to Berwick. Turn right at Brenda’s Gas station onto County Road
9, Right onto MacMillian.. Ride site on the left at top of hill.
