and activities. Please click on the links below for more details on each.
- 2012
-
- Stormont CTR - 40 km Open, 29km
Novice
-
June 10, 2012 - Finch/Berwick, Ontario
- Louise and Jacques made a deal with the rest of the Exec, if we put
on a CTR for them to ride in, they would manage and run the Endurance
so the other Exec members could ride then. Deal done and SVAHA will be
hosting an OCTRA sanctioned Competitive Trail Ride this year!
-
- Stormont Endurance FEI 1*/2*,
OCTRA, AERC, AHA & EC
-
Sept 2, 2012 - North Stormont, Ontario
- With close on 11 years of event managing experience, we decided to
tackle running a FEI/CEI Endurance event. Looking at what Canadian
riders need to advance and qualify for Canadian Team nominations, we
went with a 1* (80 km) and 2* (120 km) rides. Running in conjunction
will be OCTRA/AERC/AHA Local and Equine Canada Bronze sanctioned Open
rides at the same distances. An OCTRA mileage ride of 25 miles (40 km)
will also be held for Novice riders & horses. FEI clinics are also
in the plans and we are working on a new ride camp base with loads of
room. Stay tuned!
-
- FEI Level II Judges Course & FEI
Veterinary Course
-
Aug 30 - Sept1, 2012 - Finch, Ontario
This
Level 2 Judges Course is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about
the sport and not necessarily wishing to be a FEI Official. Level 1 is not
required in order to take Level 2. It is strongly recommended by Endurance
Canada that all support crew, riders and owners of horses that will be
potentially competing in FEI Championships to take this course. You never know
when it might become mandatory, so take it now and don't have to worry later!
The
FEI Veterinarian course is open to all vets interested in the Sport of Endurance
and is recommended for all veterinarians that also care for endurance horses as
part of their practice. This 1.5 day course counts towards CE credits with the
Ontario Veterinarian College.
